The German Emirati Institute (GEI), together with PhoeniX17 Global and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, had the privilege of supporting the Jusoor International Leadership Programme 2025, sponsored by Sandooq Al Watan under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
The programme concluded with a memorable reception in the Majlis of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan, where students, company representatives, and university delegates were warmly welcomed. In his address, Sheikh Nahyan shared an inspiring message:
“Our mission is to empower the young women and men of our nation and to develop their skills, so they are ready for the labor market and, with their knowledge and dedication, drive the progress of our society.”
The subsequent graduation ceremony marked a special milestone. For the first time, family members were invited to join the celebration, creating an atmosphere of pride and togetherness. The 25 students presented their internship projects from Germany, showcasing their creativity, adaptability, and leadership potential. Each graduate received a certificate, symbolising both academic achievement and personal empowerment for the next phase of their careers.
In just a few years, the programme has already reached its fourth batch, with 76 students having gained practical experience in Germany. Participants came from Khalifa University (KU), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), and the American University of Sharjah (AUS). Throughout their internships, the students not only advanced their professional skills but also proudly represented their homeland in international teams.
Motivational speeches by H.E. Yasser Al Gergawi of Sandooq Al Watan and Dr. Dirk Rotenberg, Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy, underlined the importance of perseverance, international experience, and collaboration, inspiring the students to continue striving for excellence.
The ceremony highlighted the graduates’ academic and professional growth while also celebrating the way they represented the UAE abroad. By strengthening cultural ties and showcasing the nation’s future leaders, the event once again reaffirmed the programme’s mission: to empower a new generation of Emirati talent, ready to thrive in the global knowledge economy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the partner companies whose commitment and guidance made this year’s programme possible: Siemens Energy, Merck, Linde, Diehl Aerospace, Adesso (Munich and Berlin), Wilo, Ariane, Roeder Präzision, Stoof, e.sic, and iplas. Their collaboration provided invaluable learning opportunities and set the stage for the students’ future careers.
